The Cabin is a tiny house perched on the top of one of Lac-Beauport’s biggest mountains. The Mont Tourbillon gives you a 360-degree view on the Quebec region from the walking and bike trails, only 30 minutes away from downtown Quebec City.

This jewel was built on the top of the 580 meters of altitude, facing northwest, and located on the mountainside… these elements are sure to leave nobody indifferent.

Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Laurentides mountains.

Good to know

The forest road to get to The Cabin is 1.5 km long and is suited for any car type, summer and winter alike, except for low suspension vehicles. With its mountain climate, it can be impossible to drive with a 2 X 4 car in winter, but usually, the road is well maintained and the mountain is safely accessible with GOOD winter tires.

The tiny house is 100% autonomous, warmed up using propane and heated with a wood stove. Even if it is very well equipped with solar panels, you have to manage energy depending on the sun’s power. In winter, taking 6 showers in a row is not really “energy smart”.

You will see, there is something satisfying about living OffGrid.

No hair dryer, microwave or electric coffeemaker.

No access to 120V.

About

“The Cab-in” project was born from our passion for bike riding and mountains. With the development of trails on the mountain, it was our chance to contribute to the growth of Lac-Beauport’s outdoor scene.

For us, living up there, alone in the world, surrounded by massive granite rocks on which are sculpted the best trails built by the Sentiers du Moulin, is the dream.
